Martin & Osa Colorful Cardigan

I recently got this amazing kelly green cardigan from Martin & Osa - a new brand by American Eagle.  I decided to pair it with this cute day dress I picked up at Old Navy awhile back.  I'm trying to focus on my budget more than ever, so spending & shopping are going to have to come down a notch for me to make my goals of paying off my credit card reasonable.  Anywho,  I feel like I keep hearing all about how "lots of color" is supposed to be big for this Summer, which is just peachy keen with me. I just came back from the Bahamas where there is a plethora of colors everywhere - the buildings, flowers...everything is so vibrant!  

My hubby and I were going out for a quick bite to eat at Chili's earlier this week.  Ever since seeing one of their recent commercials, I've been dying to try their Big Mouth Bites and let me tell you, they are quite tasty.  Not so good for watching the figure, but I'm not worried about squeezing into a wedding dress, so I can splurge on the calories! :)  I always seem to get cold in restaurants, so it's imperative that I dress in layers...luckily, I think these two colors went together pretty well.

The cardigan is super comfy and I love how the sleeves are just a bit cropped - keeps them from getting in the way.  I really like the length of the cardigan, too - not too short, not too long.  All in all a great addition to the wardrobe and it's currently on sale!

Neiman Marcus: Last Call Time!

It's Last Call time, ladies! Neiman Marcus' Last Call sale that is (click here to shop). Pre-sale started this weekend, so shop now to get the best finds. Additional mark-downs will be added either Wednesday or Thursday and that will be the same day cards are charged. Although I'm not supposed to be shopping, I decided to just take a look at what they had on sale. Big mistake...I mean, "just to look" or "just to try on" are dangerous words for a shopaholic, no? Well, needless to say, I ended up putting three black dresses up for my pre-sale items. I couldn't put them back...all great purchases...I literally could not put the clothes back. I had to have them. They were pretty decently priced, though. Actually, I had been looking for a black jersey dress to be my personal "It" look for fall/winter this season, and what do you know...they had the perfect Vince dress on the sale rack. I can't wait to pick up my finds later this week!

Oh, and I definitely suggest shopping in the store. I browsed the web site today and it didn't have nearly the same collection or options. Still, here are my picks for the online sale:

What Did I Buy at Neimans' Sale?

Well, among other things I purchased at Neiman's Last Call sale, I'm sure some of you are wondering which of the four dresses I bought. Lots of you guessed correctly - the black and white (actually off-white) Diane VonFurstenberg is what I bought!

I've always wanted a DVF wrap dress of my very own...what better way to get one than at more than half off? It was just so classy yet sexy at the same time - at right around $120, I simply couldn't resist. What do you think? Good purchase?

You don't even want to know the other stuff I bought...lol. But, I'll probably show you guys in some outfits later. Heehee!

Btw, for any last minute shoppers, tomorrow is the last day of the sale, so get yourself to the mall ASAP for the last deals till, I believe, January.

Shopping Neiman's Last Call Sale

I got a post-card a couple weeks ago informing me that Neiman Marcus' sale would be marked down to Last Call which means up to 65% off sale items or one of the times of the year when Neiman items are marked with normal people prices. You can get anything theory tank tops for $18 to Reem Acra gowns to a couple thous (yea, still expensive). I decided to hit up the sale to see if I could find any new goodies.

Here's my dressing room:

This was the nicest dressing room I've ever been in. It was like a mini-hotel room, complete with doorless closets, a seating area, and a desk.

Here are a couple of the items I tried on:

I tried on nearly twenty things, so forgive me for not remembering all the items I tried on, but the one on the right is a Diane VonFurstenberg wrap dress.
