Eye Skin Care Tips and Tricks

Keep your skin looking fabulous and pay extra attention to the skin surrounding the eyes as it can develop premature fine lines and wrinkles, which
will only act to your disadvantage. Check out the following tips so you can maintain your skin looking fabulous for as long as possible!

The skin surrounding the eyes is much thinner and much more sensitive to external factors damage, so if you want to maintain your skin looking fabulous, you need to pay attention to your skin care routine. To prevent premature aging, take these into account and try to prevent any skin damage or early development of fine lines and wrinkles.

Your skin, especially the one around your eyes can actually take or add a few years oto your real age depending on how its maintained, so if you want to look youthful and have an enviable skin, try to take proper care of your body.
Since the skin around your eyes is much more sensitive it requires special care so learn the proper steps to main it looking fabulous, so you can radiate beauty.

Baggy eyes can make you look tired so try your best to reduce the puffiness using different special products. The puffiness is created by water which is being retained in bags under the eyes, and certain products can help diminish the bags. Use under eye creams which are based on vitamin K and wild chestnut, as they will diminish the tired eyes look. Caffeine eye roller products also work so purchase the ones that you find suitable for you.

Get enough sleep as lack of sleep can definitely have an impact over your look and cause the skin surrounding the eyes to puff-up and develop dark circles, which don't actually help your look.

Don't apply a regular face cream under your eyes as the skin is much more sensitive in this area and thus needs softer ingredients to look and feel fabulous. Purchase a specially formulated eye cream and apply it using your ring finger gently by tapping the cream in back and forth movements, on small portions of the under-eye area, starting from the outside eye corner towards the inside.

Don't apply eye cream before bedtime as you might end-up with irritated eyes, plus your skin will not be able to breath. Give your skin a break and allow it to breath through the night. Keep in mind that most creams if not all, contain chemical ingredients, so give your skin some time to regenerate.

The cucumber slices on the eyes is not a way through which you can look funny but actually a way to pamper the skin surrounding your eyes. Cucumbers are rich in minerals so cut two fresh slices of cucumber and place them for 10 or 15 minutes on your eyes to allow the minerals to be absorbed by the skin.

Sleep on a comfy pillow which will maintain your head a little bit higher than the rest of your body to prevent puffy eyes. This way the blood will not rush to your head and cause the swelling under your eyes.

Avoid making grimaces as they can become a habit and lead to the development of fine lines and wrinkles. Protect your eyes with sunglasses when you're exposing yourself to the bright sunlight as the sun light will also force you to make grimaces and cause fine lines.

Emphasize your eyes and make your skin luminous by opting to enhance your eyes with light colored makeup. Go for shimmery shades of nude, taupe, soft pink, lavender to brighten up the eyes.

Keep your skin in fab condition and you'll definitely feel more comfortable and confident!

Useful Tips for a Safe Beach Tan

Keep your skin in fabulous condition this summer by paying extra attention to it. Sun exposure has become a major reason for concern for people, so if you
want to keep your skin away from sun damage, take the following tips into account as they are meant to help you tan safely!

With the hot season just knocking at the door, it is a good idea to make sure your skin will look fabulous as only this way you'll be able to radiate beauty just like the sun. There are a variety of useful tanning tips to take into account, as sun exposure has become a true factor of concern. The new information available have linked a variety of skin problems including skin cancer to sun exposure, so learn how you can still enjoy a fabulous day at the beach without damaging your skin.

Prevention is always better and easier than having to deal with certain problems including sunburn or other skin problems caused by sun exposure, so learn how you can have a fabulous skin and a gorgeous beach tan without any damage.

Whenever you are exposing yourself to the sun, you need to wear sun protection. There are a variety of brands which developed sun blocks with different SPF levels, so make sure you don't forget it. The sunblock will help keep your skin safe from sun damage as well as sunburn, so the higher the SPF, the higher the protection time against UV rays. Select one that suits your needs as well as budget.

If you have sensitive skin, opt for a sun protection lotion that is mineral based rather than opting for one with a high content of chemicals such as parabens, as they intensify skin sensibility.

If you've managed to end-up with a sunburn on your face, apply a damp towel on your face for about 10 minutes to help you cool off. Plain yogurt also helps sooth the sunburn and acts as a face mask at the same time, so if you're not allergic, give this home remedy for sunburn a try. Avoid any sun exposure until the sun burn sensation and redness go away.

Throw away any used sun protection lotions after one year as they usually expire by then and thus you will no longer benefit from any protection. Worse, you could end-up with a skin rash that you could have avoided in the first place.

Keep your sun protection lotion away from the sun, and if you can in a cool place as this way it will be much more efficient and also cool you down with every application. Intense heat can affect the efficiency of the ingredients, so try to keep it away from the sun as much as possible.

Your hair is also subjected to sun damage, so if you want to maintain your hair in great condition keep it covered using a scarf, a hat or use protective products in your summer hair care routine.

Don't expose yourself to the sun between 11am and 3pm as this is when the sun's rays are most powerful. Lay on the beach under an umbrella if you don't have anything else to do and wear sunglasses so you won't make any grimaces due to the bright light, grimaces which will lead to early development of fine lines and wrinkles.

Protect your lips with a sun protection lip balm as your lips too can become dry, chapped and sore due to excessive sun exposure. The skin on the lips is much thinner than on the rest of your body, plus it is much more exposed to the sun and other external factors, so it will be much more prone to sun damage.

Protect your skin, your hair and your eyes from the UV rays so you can always radiate beauty and health!

It's no surprise that ancient Egyptian queens loved to sleep on silk pillows as it seems that silk helps give a smooth look to the skin and hair, so try your best to sleep on a pillow casing made out of silk or satin. This way your wrinkles will be much smoother and you'll wake up looking radiant.

There are 4 types of wrinkles so try to determine which ones have affected your skin. These types are fine, profound, static and dynamic. Fine wrinkles appear slowly and gradually due to lack or collagen and elastin in your skin. Profound wrinkles are much more visible and start in your muscles, beneath the skin. Static wrinkles sow all the time while dynamic ones appear only when the facial muscles start to move. By knowing which type of wrinkles have affected your skin you can determine which products are efficient for you.

Light cardio exercises such as walking are highly beneficial for your health and also help prevent the appearance of wrinkles as these exercises help get the blood pumping, ensuring a proper oxygenation of the cells, help reduce stress and reduce facial tension.

Hydrate your skin properly and drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration as dry skin can look more wrinkled and dull, but wrinkles are not caused by dry skin.

Drink white and green tea or use products which contain these ingredients as they are known for benefiting the skin through their stimulating power for collagen production. White and green tea have been used for health purposes since ancient times so make the best of your skin using these miraculous ingredients.

Don't make grimaces as they are the main cause for early wrinkle development. Your skin adapts to your mimic so try not to make funny faces as much as possible. Wear sunglasses when you are exposing yourself to the sun so your eyes are protected. This way you'll avoid making grimaces caused by the powerful sun light.

How to Look Great Without Makeup?

Although makeup is a wonderful tool that helps us define our facial features, it is not a necessity. In fact, giving your skin a break from time to time is advisable. Looking great without makeup is
entirely possible as long as you keep a few things in mind. Incorporate some of the following principles in your daily routine to be able to feel and look gorgeous.

With so many makeup products available nowadays it's virtually impossible not to be tempted to experiments with various makeup products to create various looks. Although there's nothing wrong with gaining a little confidence boost with a little makeup, going makeup free from time to time can be extremely beneficial. Although a no makeup look can be a great time saver, looking pretty will still require certain efforts from your part.

First of all, a good skin care routine is an absolute must to be able to get perfect looking skin without makeup. Exfoliating, cleansing, toning and moisturizing are a few essential whether you decide to wear makeup or not and so is wearing sunscreen. Aside from these recommendations, you should also include additional rituals that are meant to help you look your best depending on your age. Steam facials might be particularly useful in your teen years, while a retinol cream is beneficial if you are trying to fight skin aging. Homemade facials, when chosen properly, can also help you get a more radiant skin naturally.

Although a proper skin care is a must, a perfect skin is not the only aspect you should worry about if you want to look your best. Emphasizing your facial features adequately is also a must. When it comes to emphasizing the eyes, curling your lashes is a simple and quick solution. This simple gesture will open up your eyes while also emphasizing your eyelashes, even if you don't wear mascara.

The shape of your eyebrows will also influence your overall look so make sure they are properly groomed. It's a good idea to have your eyebrows plucked or waxed professionally initially to ease your efforts and ensure the best results.

Not using concealer can be a real challenge for those who want to correct dark under eye circles. However, there are plenty of options you can use to diminish this problem naturally. Although cucumber slices and tea bags are two popular homemade remedies that are used to solve this problem, some say that is a low temperature is the secret to get rid of dark under eye circles and puffiness. Therefore cold water or even an ice cube can be an effective solution to solve this problem relatively quickly

Choose flattering hairstyles. A good hairstyle can be just as important as a flattering makeup style. A hairstyle that flatters your face shape can hide a lot of flaws by changing the main points of interest or by creating all sorts of optical illusions. Do your best to find the hairstyles that most compliment your features and you will be one step closer to the desired look.

A sensible clothing style is also essential in order to look great in spite of wearing no makeup. Paying attention to the color choices you make is extremely important. Choosing hues that compliment your skin tone and that flatter and suit your body type. The right pop of color along with a few accessories can do wonders for your overall appearance, not just your face.

Last but not least, don't forget that your lifestyle choices are decisive when it comes to your overall look. Make sure that you have a diversified, healthy diet to ensure most of the nutrients your body needs, exercise regularly and don't forget to drink lots of water to be able to have a clear, radiant skin

Unhealthy Foods that Affect Your Skin

Have you ever thought to what extent the foods you eat can affect your skin? Throughout time many theories appeared connecting an unhealthy diet to different skin problems. However, it seems
that this topic is more complex than it looks and it goes far deeper than that. Following the idea that beauty comes from the inside, it's essential to consider the fact that a healthy body can have a positive effect upon our skin and that junk food is related to various chronic skin issues.

The connection between unhealthy foods and skin issues is rather controversial. In fact, even though some specialists say that there are no proofs in this sense, it is known that what we eat strongly affects our health and consequently our skin. Certain foods consumed in excess and on a longer period of time can have negative effects upon our skin causing acne, wrinkles and other cutaneous issues such as eczema or psoriasis. Therefore, if what you want is young-looking, glowing skin, make sure you invest in nutritious foods.

Refined carbohydrates

When saying refined carbohydrates we mean sweets, cakes and other processed foods that lack important nutrients, such as B vitamins, fiber, and iron. These foods are rich in sugar and white flour, and consumed in large quantities they increase the production of androgen, male hormones that stimulate the activity of sebaceous glands and therefore the sebum production. Well, we all know that the excess of sebum will clog pores leading to acne.

Sugar

Sugar is related to various health issues. The problem of sugar excess is rather complicated and it starts with a process called glycosylation. Throughout glycosylation, sugar in the blood attaches itself to proteins impeding their proper functioning. And imagine that all the cells in our body are in part made of protein. Collagen, which is an essential component of the skin, represents about 40% of the body's proteins. In consequence, if the collagen is affected by glycosylation, you can see the negative effects on the skin. Sugar is also related to different digestive problems that ultimately damages our health and the skin too.

Salty foods

We must admit that salty snacks are delicious. However, you should think twice next time you feel like relaxing in front of the TV with a large bowl of chips and pretzels, as too much sodium has the same effects as a meal rich in saturated fats. The excess of salt draws the moist out from the cells of the skin leading to swollen tissues and loss of elasticity.

Fats

You should know that when we eat sugar and refined carbohydrates in excess, these are transformed in the body into fats. Still, not all fats are good for our health and those coming from sugar certainly are not the best choice. So, how are these fats linked to skin problems? Well, it is a rather simple question. First of all, we should be aware that our skin needs oxygen in order to maintain its health. Why? Because oxygen facilitates the production of collagen, elastin and other vital elements. These fats diminish the quantity of oxygen supply to cells especially those on the skin.
Besides, sugar blocks the release of linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid, required by the body and thought to be helpful with skin disorders.

Dairy products

Many studies have revealed the fact that dairy products can negatively affect the skin. Excepting yogurt, it has been proved that all dairy products, especially milk, increase the risk of skin breakouts. Milk contains androgen hormones that are converted into DHT (dihydrotestosterone) hormone, which increases sebum production. Besides, breakouts can also be caused by some growth hormones found in milk. A better option would be to choose yogurt, as through the fermentation process 80% of these growth hormones are eliminated.

Sodas and caffeine

We have already seen that keeping a balanced blood glucose level is crucial for a beautiful skin. Sodas are rich in sugar, artificial sweeteners, and caffeine, thus there are high chances for these drinks to encourage a series of cutaneous problems such as acne or wrinkles. A preservative used in sodas called sodium benzoate might be responsible for skin rashes.
What about diet soda? Well, diet soda contains artificial sweeteners such as Aspartame that may increase your cravings for sweets and junk foods. Besides, caffeine will amplify your stress level. When passing through stressful moments our skin is deprived of blood and oxygen making it look lifeless.

Alcohol

Long gone the days when cocktails represented the best way to boost your party mood. Yes, it is true that many researches have shown that a moderate alcohol consumption can have some health benefits, while too much drinking might result into severe side effects. Still, if you want to maintain a radiant look remember that alcohol dehydrates the skin just like sodium does. Alcohol dilates the blood vessels in the skin, causing an inflammation that will have detrimental results on your skin since the vessels can be enlarged until losing their tone. In addition, alcohol causes broken capillaries, wrinkles, and worsens acne rosacea.

Easy Tips for Best Looking Skin

A proper care routine is crucial if you want to maintain a youthful, glowing skin. Fatigue, stress, an unbalanced diet, and numerous external factors are some of the main causes that contribute to the
unhealthy aspect of your skin, wrinkles and premature aging. Take a peek at these easy tips for fresh-looking skin in order to prevent different skin issues and have a radiant appearance all day long.

When it comes to skin care and beauty routine, we sometimes tend to forget or ignore some choices that might prove to be vital for the health of our skin. Still, remember that, if improperly taken care of, your skin can lose its glow and wrinkles might appear sooner than you expect. Therefore, it is essential to find the best products, appropriate for your skin type and make sure you follow and respect some simple rules for a healthy, fresh-looking skin.

Lately, we have seen all kind of tips. In fact, there are tips and tricks for everything. And even though they look rather simple and common, they might be, in fact, extremely useful. There are a few easy tips for a radiant, fresh face that in time can make a difference. Everything stands in our daily choices, whether we are talking about our lifestyle, diet, or the products we use. Sometimes, it is about the respect we have for our body.

Cleansing

Yes, we know that it is already repetitive, yet some of us just don't get the importance of this step in all the skin care process. But, keep in mind that repetition is the mother of all learning! Therefore, never skip the cleansing ritual, both in the morning and evening. With so many products available on the market, it is impossible not to find one to suit your skin type. Usually, cleansing lotions should contain natural plant extracts that clean and nourish in the same time. Pay extra attention to the eye area which is more sensitive and it needs a special cleansing lotion.

Toning

Step 1, cleansing.

Step 2, toning. Nevertheless, what does toning do for my skin? Applied immediately after cleansing, a toning lotion removes all residues that soaps or foams might leave on your skin. Besides, toning keeps pores clean and the skin can better absorb the moisturizer.

Exfoliation

It is known that at every three weeks the skin has a new layer of young cells eager to show off. This is why, a regular exfoliation is required. Scrubbing, you'll remove the top layer of dead skin cells and give a special glow to your face. Exfoliating products have a detoxifying role too, therefore make sure you opt for the proper one for your skin type. Choose a gentle scrub with small grains. Clay and salicylic acid scrubs work best for oily skin, while gels and abrasive creams for sensitive skin. You'll see that after exfoliating, your skin will look more fresh, healthier and younger.

Moisturize

Don't ignore this step! Why? Because if what you want is a fresh, smooth, attractive skin, this is a key step applied to everyone, regardless their skin type, even the oily one. The only exception would be the acne prone skin. In this case too, you should choose a moisturizer that suits your skin or, even better, you can see a dermatologist who can measure the level of elasticity and sebum in order to recommend the best moisturizer. Be careful when applying moisturizer as too much can damage by clogging pores.

Massage

When a fresh-looking skin is desired, massage is a smart choice. In the evening, after applying the moisturizer you normally use, stimulate the muscles of your face by gentle moves starting from the lower part of the face and going up and from the center of the face towards the exterior. Simple as saying 'skin'!

Sunscreen

The ideal thing to do is to avoid sun exposure as much as possible. However, since this is impossible, you should protect your skin from the harmful sun rays. It is already known the fact that excessive sun exposure can cause wrinkles, freckles, dry skin, spots, and even skin cancer. Therefore, use sunscreen, avoid staying in the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and wear protective hats.

No smoking and healthy diet

Smoking is not only damaging your health, but also your skin, and decreases your levels of collagen and elastin. By narrowing the blood vessels in the top layers of the skin, blood flow is reduced, while the skin lacks oxygen and nutrients, such as vitamin A. Besides, a healthy diet, rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains helps you keep a young, fresh-looking skin.
