*How Krasinski Said Goodbye To Carell On ‘The Office’*

We’ve known Michael Scott was leaving Dunder Mifflin for awhile, so we’ve had time to mentally prepare ourselves. The cast of “The Office” has known even longer, but they weren’t prepared to get emotional on Steve Carell’s last day. While promoting the romantic comedy Something Borrowed, John Krasinski shared his own tearful farewell.
(Click Here To See Video Of Will Ferrell’s Debut On “The Office.”)
“I definitely cried on the last day,” Krasinski said. “Wasn’t expecting it and then the last scene of the day was our goodbye of characters. We hadn’t said goodbye and so that was an incredibly existential black hole. It was like way too much happening. So there were definitely tears.”
The show has wrapped for the season but it was several weeks ago that Carell wrapped. Krasinski describes his feelings graphically. “Brutal, in no uncertain terms which I only say because it wasn’t so clear when it was happening. I think I was under the impression of my logical brain saying, ‘This is just what happens. People move on and they have contracts that expire and there’s nothing personal’. Then you realize that a huge part of your show, a huge part of your everyday life, a huge part of the energy around you every day is gone. It’s just sad to lose a friend like that. It was tough but it’s all fantastic and our energy level on set is tremendous and we all feel incredibly excited about what’s to come. Everybody was talking about a spinoff 2 ½, three years ago. This is the show sans Steve. It’s ‘The Office 2.’”
When Will Ferrell appeared last week as the new boss, Jim and Pam’s storyline had them showing off their baby a little too much for his tastes. They won’t beat that joke any further. Instead they’ll find all new ways to annoy their new boss.
“No, I think that played out in the episode, or at least was highlighted in that episode and we definitely find other relationship avenues to take.”
“The Office” airs Thursday nights at 9 on NBC.

Housewives of OC’ star talks how the show has changed her life

Real Housewives of Orange County’ star Alexis Bellino is in her second season of reality TV and it seems she’s finally realizing how much everything has changed.
Bellino recently admitted that her friendships have definitely undergone a drastic change, states Celebuzz. “It’s sad because I thought with Peggy [Tanous] coming on we would be able to survive and get back to the friendship. We’re not really on good terms as of right now,” Bellino admitted.
But, she has learned how to deal with all the changes and scrutiny that come with the show: “I don’t even read what is in the press. I stay out of it because I know that no matter what, people are going to say negative things.”

'Dragon' Sweeps Disney-boycotted Annie Awards

How to Train Your Dragon

DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon swept the 38th annual Annie Awards in the animated feature categories, winning 10 trophies including the top award for best animated feature at the Saturday night ceremony, which was boycotted by the rival Disney/Pixar camp.

The Annies, which the International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood presented at UCLA's Royce Hall, also honored Alice in Wonderland for character animation in a live-action production in its feature categories.DWA’s Kung Fu Panda Holiday topped the television categories with five awards.
Pixar did win one award, best animated short subject, Day & Night, which is also nominated for an Oscar.
A critical and box office success, Dragon was a top 10 performer in the 2010 domestic box office, and won all three of the awards given to an animated feature earlier this week at the Visual Effects Society Awards.
An ongoing controversy has surrounded the Annies. In August, Disney and Pixar announced they would no longer participate in the annual awards because of questions about voting procedures, with Disney contended had favored DreamWorks in recent years.
As a result, this year Disney/Pixar didn't submit, screen, campaign for, or attend -- at least as a group -- the Annie Awards. Still, both Pixar's Toy Story 3, which is a best picture Oscar nominee and is also considered the frontrunner to win the Oscar for animated feature, and Disney'sTangled were both nominated for the Annie for best animated feature, earning three and two nominations, respectively.
ASIFA-Hollywood president Antran Manoogian explained that even if studios or individuals from a film do not submit that film,  the nominating committees had the latitude to determine their own nominations. He also said that while anyone can join ASIFA, only animation professionals are eligible to vote, per a new rule that went into effect for this year”s awards competition.
Two years ago, questions about the voting were raised when DWA's Kung Fu Panda swept the Annies feature categories, winning ten trophies and shutting out Pixar's Wall-E, which claimed the Oscar for best animated feature. Last year, though, Pixar's Up won the top Annie.

Lauren Conrad's New MTV Reality Show Pulled for Being 'Too High Brow'

Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad’s upcoming MTV reality show has been pulled, the fashion designer tells The Hollywood Reporter.
“We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result,” she tells THR in a statement. “MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life."
"We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships," Conrad tells THR. "We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.”
David Janollari, EVP, Head of Programming for MTV, told Entertainment Weekly: "We decided not to go ahead with the show. She did do a pilot. There were talks about whether we could somehow manage to put together a special based on that footage but that’s also a big question mark based on her interest in that and the finances. We love her! We would love her on our network! It was a great attempt but it just didn’t feel like a perfect fit for us now.”
Conrad appeared on two MTV reality shows that tracked her personal life, Laguna Beach and The Hills.

Sony The Roommate James Cameron-produced 'Sanctum' opens at No. 2 with $9.2 million, while 'No Strings Attached' takes the third spot after surpassing the $50 million mark.

The Roommate

James Cameron-produced 'Sanctum' opens at No. 2 with $9.2 million, while 'No Strings Attached' takes the third spot after surpassing the $50 million mark.

Sony/Screen Gems' thriller The Roommate topped the weekend box office thanks to young females, grossing an estimated $15.6 million to easily best Universal's Australian cave adventure-thriller Sanctum 3D.

Dear John
is the second best Super Bowl weekend opener of all time after Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour ($31.7 million);Roommate is the eighth.Though a solid start for The Roommate, overall revenues at the domestic box office were down more than 23% from 2010, when Screen Gems' own Dear John opened to an especially good $30.5 million.
Despite the extra bump from higher-priced 3D tickets andJames Cameron's involvement, Sanctum couldn't crack the $10 million mark in its debut, although its $9.2 million opening gross was better than Universal anticipated.
Overseas, Sanctum -- executive produced by Cameron -- opened to $3.1 million in Australia and the U.K., a disappointing start.
But Universal and Relativity Media, which partnered in paying $12 million for distribution rights to Sanctum, say they are already on solid financial footing.
Super Bowl weekend is always hard for Hollywood, with theater traffic dropping substantially on Sunday.
The Roommate, starring Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester, was more immune. Of those buying tickets toRoommate, 65% were females, while 61% were under the age of 21. It's the first time in weeks that a movie has skewed that young. Roommate opened in 2,534 theaters.
"Roommate definitely reached its target audience. They went out in droves to see it," Sony worldwide president of distribution Rory Bruer said. "This is pretty cool for us."
Roommate's performance makes Sony the unqualified champ of the Super Bowl frame, since it's the eighth film from the studio to open at No. 1 on the weekend of the championship game. Many of those titles were from Screen Gems, and played heavily to females under the age of 25--the demo least interested in football.
Universal said Sanctum would have opened north of $10 million, and likely hit $11 million, had it not been for the big game.
Sanctum went out in 2,787 theaters, of which more than 2,000 were 3D runs, including 178 Imax locations. Imax runs turned in 17% of the gross, a strong showing.
"We're very happy to be in business with Imax," Universal president of domestic distributionNikki Rocco said.
Box office observers say Sanctum was hindered by its claustrophobic subject matter, as well as not having any known stars.
Sanctum received a C+ CinemaScore, while Roommate drew a B-.
Roommate cost $16 million to make, and returns Screen Gems to good form after a rocky run for Burlesque.
Among holdovers at the box office, Paramount/Spyglass romantic comedy No Strings Attached jumped the $50 million mark in its third weekend, grossing an estimated $8.4 million from 3,030 theaters for a cume of $51.8 million, according to Rentrak.
No Strings came in No. 3, followed by the Weinstein Co.'s The King's Speech at No. 4. King's Speech grossed an estimated $8.3 million from 2,584 locations for a cume of $84.1 million.
King's Speech continued to feel the benefits of multiple Oscar nominations, falling only 25% from the previous weekend.
Among other award frontrunners, Paramount and Skydance Prods.'s True Grit fell 37% to an estimated $4.7 million for a cume of $155 million -- one of the best showings of all time for a Western. The film placed No. 8.
Fox Searchlight's Black Swan came in No. 10, grossing an estimated $3.4 million from 1,977 theaters for a cume of $95.9 million. the film fell 34%.
Roadside Attractions' Biutiful, earning Javier Bardem a best acting nomination, grossed an estimated $731,209 as it expanded to 177 screens for a per location average of $4,131.
Back on the top 10 box office chart, New Line/Warner Bros.' The Rite slipped to No. 6 in its second weekend, declining 62% to an estimated $5.6 million from 2,985 runs.
The Rite's cume is $23.7 million, not that far ahead of CBS Films' The Mechanic, which declined 53% in its second weekend to an estimated $5.4 million from 2,704 theaters for a total $20.1 million. Mechanic came in No. 7.
Rite was beat by Sony's The Green Hornet, which placed No. 5. Hornet declined 45% to an estimated $6.1 million for a cume of $87.2 million in its fourth weekend.

Among limited players, Sony Pictures Classics' Barney's Version -- earning Paul Giamatti a Golden Globe -- scored a per theater average of $5,341 in grossing an estimated $240,324 from 45 screens.
Sony Classics' Another Year more than doubled its theater count over the weekend. Film, nominated for a screenplay Oscar, grossed an estimated $501,922 from 236 screens for a so-so location average of $2,127.
IFC's The Other Woman -- starring Natalie Portman -- was scheduled to open over the weekend in New York and Los Angeles, but IFC didn't release numbers.

Lady Gaga bares all for famed fashion photographer

Lady Gaga is anything but camera-shy, which is why the new images of the pop star posing in various stages of undressing for renown fashion photographer Terry Richardson hardly come as a surprise.
The photo spread, which Styleite.com reports was designed for Purple Magazine’s spring/summer 2011 issue, has Gaga sporting nothing but (wet) T-shirts by skateboard brand Supreme. In several images, Gaga forgoes the T-shirt all together and poses in her glittery, towering platforms with a strategically placed Supreme skateboard.
The photos are classic Richardson, displaying bright color contrasts and racy compositions that have become his trademark. A controversial figure in the photography world, Richardson seems to have found his muse in pop music’s most subversive artist.

The singer and actress is said to be dating British actor Joshua Bowman after meeting him on the set of her new movie So Undercover, and while sources say it’s not that serious at the moment, they are having fun together.

A source said: “They were inseparable at the movie’s wrap party but Miley’s back in Los Angeles at the moment and Joshua’s in Louisiana, so they’re going to see how it goes.”

Last year, Joshua hit the headlines after being spotted canoodling with Amy Winehouse on the beach in St. Lucia, while Miley split from ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth in November.

As well as getting a new love interest, Miley has added a fifth tattoo to her body, which pays tribute to her four siblings, Brandi, 23, Trace, 21, Braison, 16, and Noah, 10.

The etching is "a picture of the dream catcher that hangs over her bed with four feathers to represent her four brothers and sisters" and the 18-year-old star says she had it to “protect them.”

The actress also has "Just Breathe" tattooed on her ribcage in honor of a friend who died of Cystic Fibrosis, the word "LOVE" inked on the inside of her ear, and both a heart and a small cross on her fingers.

A source said of the etchings: "All of Miley's tattoos have a deep meaning to her. They all represent family and friends close to her."
